YOUth LEADing the world Nov 27th, 28th & 29th 2012

3 day Youth Leadership Congress where Youth explore local and global issues of sustainability, measure and understand their own eco-footprint and work on action plans to make change in their lives, schools and communities.

Congresses are held simultaneously, digitally linked across multiple australian and global location. YLTW is now in its 4th year set to run in 50 locations.

Sustainable Practice Skill Set – New Dates now set

If you are a VET Practionioner then this course is for you: 

Centre for Sustainable Skills at Wodonga TAFE have partnered with The National Centre for Sustainability (NCS) and project partners and are delighted to offer the opportunity for VET practitioners to complete the TAE Sustainable Practice Skill Set. As part of the implementation of the national Green Skills Agreement, the NCS Consortium partners (led by the University of Ballarat) will deliver this Skill Set nationally throughout 2012.

The aim of this professional development program is to expand the base of Australian VET practitioners from across the range of RTOs and industry areas, to develop skills and knowledge to support the delivery of  skills for sustainability in their VET training programs.

The Sustainable Practice Skill Set units to be completed are:

  • TAESUS501A – Analyse and apply sustainability skills to learning programs
  • TAESUS502A – Identify and apply current sustainability education principles and practice to learning programs

Preparations are under way for the 5th Wodonga Sustainable Living Fair at La Trobe University, Wodonga this coming Sunday. 

Wodonga Institute of TAFE have a stall and will have brochures available on the courses we are currently offering and ones we hope to run in 2013.

The Centre for Sustainable Skills at Wodonga TAFE are taking enrolments for our successful and popular Diploma of Sustainability and Certificate IV in Home Sustainability Assessment.  We are also taking expressions of interest for our NEW training package MSS11 and the following courses: 

  • Sustainable Operations: Certificate IV in Sustainable Operations, Diploma of Sustainable Operations & Vocational Graduate Certificate in Sustainable Operations
  • Environmental Monitoring & Technology: Certificate IV in Environmental Technology & Diploma of Environmental Monitoring & Technology
  • Environmental Management: Vocational Graduate Certificate in Environmental Management

The Diploma of Sustainability is offered as a “dual diploma” meaning that if you are currently enrolled in a Diploma or above qualification or you already have this qualification you will receive a full Diploma of Sustainabiilty at the completion of our course. Apply NOW and secure your place in this innovative training, which will advance your career.
